Special Achievements 
Kum. Madhurima Mukherjee of class X B got an opportunity to interact with the President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on 30th Jan 2007. This was because she was the winner of the middle category in the English Essay Writing Competition conducted by Tata. She won different prizes at the School level, Zonal  level and National level. About one-lakh students participated from 244 schools across six cities of India. I congratulate Madhurima and smt. Nafisa who is the in charge, who keeps on conducting various external competitions, to give an exposure to the students. 

KVS National Mathematics Olympiad 

Master Amrit Om Nayak, of class XII appeared for the first exam of KVS National Mathematics and secured 15th rank at National level and won a cash award of Rs. 2500/- He topped at the Regional level. Thereafter he received 7-day training at Banglore where renowned Prof from Indian Institute of Science taught higher Maths associated with the International Maths Olympiad (IMO). Thereafter he appeared for the second exam where he obtained 14th rank at National level. After further training of 7 days at Delhi, he appeared for third exam and secured 11th position. He appeared for the International level Examinations at TIFR in the month of Feb 2007. 

NWWA QuizEach year Jagruti NWWA organizes a quiz competition amongst the students of KV No.1, Colaba, KV No.2 Colaba, KV No.3, Colaba and NCSIt gives me great pleasure to inform you all that KV No.1 has bagged the rotating shield continuously for the last 2 years. The children participating were

Navy Week Painting CometitionWith great pride, I wish to inform you all that during the Nay Week celebrations a painting competition was held in Nov. amongst the four neighbouring schoolds, KV No.1 bagged the maximum number of prizes in all the categories.We bagged 6 prizes out of 18. Many children participated in Scrabble Competition. Talent hunt, etc and got an exposure to the talent in the other private schools. The children of our Vidyalaya subscribe to various newspapers e.g. Times, DNA etc. Newspaper is a very important tool in education & Times NIE felicitated the meritorious students of class X with mementoes.
